Sinopsis y Critica: Es una especie de milagro. Escrito, dirigido y actuado a la perfección, "Atonement" tiene oleadas de humor, angustia y afilante romanticismo. La película se mueve dentro del patrimonio de una rica familia británica, alrededor de 1935, a través de la Segunda Guerra Mundial en los campos de batalla de Dunquerque y, por último, al final del siglo XX, donde se esconden las más inquietantes sorpresas. ¿Larga? No mucho. (...) "Atonement" es literaria en el mejor sentido: Está obsesionada con el poder de las palabras. Robbie Turner, retratado con una precisión ardiente por James McAvoy, es el hijo de la familia. Al principio no puede encontrar palabras para expresar su anhelo por Cecilia Tallis, que hace caso omiso de él. Cecilia es interpretada por la sensacional Keira Knightley, que combina la belleza y gravedad de forma sorprendente. La fijación de Robbie por ella es comprensible. (...) Wright y Christopher Hampton, cuyo guión es un modelo de cómo adaptar una novela a la pantalla, muestra con extraordinaria habilidad la construcción de este laberinto carnal. (...) Saoirse Ronan es la gloria de la película. Nota a los Oscar: Se trata de una actuación de primer orden. Ronan simplemente te dejarán sin aliento. Knightley nunca ha brillado como hasta ahora. Y McAvoy clava todas las variantes de su rol. (...)
