SINOPSIS

Así, debajo de las nubes de la ciudad, de la fuerza de sus monta-ñas y con un cielo azul de techo, Rosario, Antonio y Emilio se van a amar, a destruir y a remendar las costuras rotas que cada uno carga. A crear una relación donde podía no haber nada. Pero donde todos se dieron lo que buscaban. Tarde o temprano el destino le re-serva a Rosario lo que le tenía guardado. Esta es la historia de su vida, es la historia de amor de los tres, es la histo-ria de una ciudad que late fuerte como un corazón enamorado, en donde todo sucede, todo se olvida y todo recomienza.

Al igual que la antigua caja metálica de incalculable valor sentimental que Amélie encuentra en el suelo de su lavabo, la última película de Jean-Pierre Jeunet es un regalo para el corazón, una pieza de artesanía con sabor a antiguo, a sueños perdidos y reencontrados, rebosante de magia y buenas intenciones. Amélie es un film sobre los pequeños placeres de la vida, sobre los guiños del destino, sobre ese universo infantil que nunca dejamos atrás. Plagada de personajes entrañables, caricaturescos, anónimamente universales, en definitiva, personajes sólo concebibles en la mente del director de Delicatessen y La ciudad de los niños perdidos, Amélie es una comedia agridulce y endiablada que alterna un ritmo frenético con una pausada contemplación.
Y es esta Amélie Poulain -una Audrey Tautou fundida totalmente con su personaje- el alma de la fiesta, la guía que nos lleva de la mano por este microcosmos mágico que constituye la película, en el que o te sumerges desde buen principio o quedas al margen.
Jean-Pierre Jeunet abandona el oscuro y sórdido pesimismo de anteriores films, y nos brinda una historia de historias, llena de luz, color y optimismo. Una fotografía en color teñida de sepia que nos ofrece un París exultante lleno de posibilidades. Realizada con un preciosista detallismo, desde los caracteres humanos hasta los decorados, Amélie es, más que una simple película, una laboriosa y cuidada creación realizada con mucho cariño y mimo.
Una película muy recomendable para aquellos que quieran extraviarse por paraisos que creían perdidos y deseen reconciliarse con la vida ( o por lo menos intentarlo).

SIPNOSIS

Unos jóvenes delincuentes, Alex (Malcolm McDowell), Dim (Warren Clarke), Georgie (James Marcus), y Pete (Michael Tarn) viven en una futurista ciudad inglesa y se hallan sumergidos en una espiral de peleas, palizas, violaciones, y, tal y como lo llaman ellos, “ultraviolencia". En la prisión él acepta ser el “conejillo de indias” en el experimento de una nueva terapia de aversión, para así poder rebajar su pena. Al cabo de un tiempo, asqueado por el mero hecho de ver violencia y más violencia, él es absuelto y se integra en el mundo exterior. Allí sufre venganza tras venganza a causa de su vida anterior, pero ahora se somete, es tal la adversión que tiene contra la violencia, que se queda parado incluso cuando sus antiguos “amigos” y miembros de la banda, ahora policías, le acosan.
Un día vuelve por casualidad a la mansión de Mr. Alexander, y recibe otro castigo y medio loco, intenta suicidarse. Despedimos en el hospital a un Alex que vuelve a sus orígenes violentos y desde donde (se supone) nos cuenta su historia.
Adaptada de la novela del autor Anthony Burguess, esta obra ganadora de cuatro Óscars, Mejor Película, Mejor Director, Mejor Guión Adaptado, y Mejor Edición y también galardonada por el Círculo de Críticos de Cine de Nueva York con premios a la mejor Película y al Mejor Director, es una película que sigue fielmente a su libro predecesor, aunque Kubrick añade algunas escenas, como la de la llegada de Alex a la cárcel, o no introduce tantas palabras de esa jerga “nadsat” ya que no puede contar con un traductor en la película como sí se podía contar con un diccionario en el libro. Aún así , la película capta toda la esencia satírica, violenta y esperpéntica de la novela y de uno de los personajes más violentos y desequilibrados de la historia del cine y de la literatura. En esta película, Kubrick nos hace partícipes de uno de sus más grandes temores, al que está también expuesta toda la sociedad, el temor a que la ya tan trivial y común violencia por la violencia se vuelva contra el hombre, miedo a que el hombre renuncie a su identidad ante la tiranía de otros hombres.

I Heart Huckabees

Sinopsis: Una auténtica locura de película. Comedia sobre un matrimonio, los Jaffes (Dustin Hoffman y Lily Tomlin), quienes trabajan como detectives, ayudando a la gente a solucionar crisis existenciales en sus vidas. Mystic River

Sinopsis: Cuando Jimmy Markum (Sean Penn), Dave Boyle (Tim Robbins) y Sean Devine (Kevin Bacon) eran niños que crecían juntos en un peligroso distrito de Boston pasaban los días jugando al béisbol en la calle, al igual que lo hacían muchos otros niños en el barrio obrero de East Buckingham donde vivían. No sucedía nada importante en su barrio. Hasta que Dave se vio obligado a tomar un rumbo que cambiaría las vidas de todos ellos para siempre. Veinticinco años más tarde, los tres se vuelven a encontrar por otro acontecimiento de gran trascendencia – el asesinato de la hija de 19 años de Jimmy. A Sean, que se ha hecho policía, le asignan el caso y junto a su compañero recibe el encargo de desenredar este crimen aparentemente sin sentido. También tienen que estar muy pendientes de Jimmy, furioso por encontrar al asesino de su hija.
